H L Kong Medical Oncology Centre was founded by the Centre Director, Dr Kong Hwai Loong, who is assisted by a team of Oncology Nurses and support staff. With effect from July 1, 2009, another senior oncologist, Dr Wong Zee Wan, has joined the team. We attend to individuals who are suspected to have cancers or patients whose cancer diagnoses have already been made. Our mission is to provide our patients with high-standard medical care that is based on international best practices and delivered with professionalism, excellence, respect, compassion and integrity. Our centre has two medical premises - within the Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre and in Novena Medical Center.

Services Provided by the clinic:

We treat patients with the following types of cancer:

• Breast 

• Lung 

• Colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile duct 

• Stomach and oesophagus 

• Head and neck, including nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC)

• Ovaries, uterus and cervix

• Prostate, bladder, testes, kidney

• Others, including sarcomas, melanomas, cancers of unknown primary site

• Lymphomas

The clinical services that we provide include the following:

• Investigations to confirm or rule out the presence of cancers

• Design and coordination of the overall cancer treatment plan

• Assessment of risk of cancer relapse after initial surgery

• Administration of chemotherapy, monoclonal antibody therapy, oral targeted therapy, hormonal therapy

• Post-treatment surveillance

• Pain control and other supportive treatment

• Coordination of palliative care services and home care 

• Counseling of patients and caregivers 

Cancer prevention advice and initial assessment of cancer genetic risks
